Dr. Pawan Kumar is a renowned Hematologist in India with an extensive experience of over one and half decade in the field of Hematology and stem cell transplantations. He has been trained at various prestigious healthcare Institutions in India. He carries with himself an extensive experience of doing over 300 Bone Marrow Transplantations(including Autologous/Allogenic/Haplo/MUD)for patients suffering from various Haematological blood disorders from India and from across the globe.

He possesses expertise in treating blood disorders like Leukaemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma,  Aplastic Anemia disease , Thalassemia &Sickle Cell disorders etc. His interests includes handling all types of Haematological disorders in both Adult and Paediatric(Children) Patients like Leukaemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma , Thalassemia and is specialized in treating diseases which affect human blood and bone marrow directly or indirectly. He has Presented 3 papers at Annual meeting, 2015 of EHA in Vienna.
Done successful Haplo BMT for SCID in an 8 months old child. Successfully done Bone marrow transplant in a MFD for HLH in a 2 year old child. He was the one to start Bone Marrow Transplant unit at Jaypee Hospital and formulated policies for successfully running the BMT unit. He is credited with making BMT UNIT at Jaypee hospital the transplant centre for MUD transplants and also got PBSC product from national (Datri) and international registry called DKMS.  He Performed more than 50  stem cell transplant in a record time of 18 months.
